Feb 18 – Rain To Start The Day

As we woke this morning we could hear the rain coming down at a good clip. Fortunately, it only lasted until about shooting time. The day remained overcast. Sunny days are usually better than cloudy. Even so the day turned out to be good. High field shot 41 and low field was 6. Average was 20 birds per field. It was a solid day of hunting.

When you hunt waterfowl, it is likely to involve water at some point. Gore-Tex clothing or breathable waders work well. Always be prepared for rain. If you have the gear and don’t need it – oh well. If you need it and don’t have it the hunt can get little uncomfortable.
