Bands are a real bonus to a hunt.

Arkansas Spring Snow Goose Hunts:

  • Hunting license: Required
    • Any state's hunting license is honored in Arkansas during the conservation order
  • Federal Duck Stamp: Not Required
  • State Waterfowl Stamps: Not Required
  • Free registration permit: Required
    • Call (800) 364-4263 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Tell them you want to register for the FREE permit to hunt during the conservation order.

Arkansas snow goose hunting license is still FREE but you do have to register by calling the above number and bring a hunting license from your home state.

Iowa Spring Snow Goose Hunts:

  • Hunting License: 
    • Resident Hunting / Habitat ($35)
    • Non-Resident 5 Day Hunting/Habitat 18+ ($90)
    • Non-Resident 5 Day Hunting/Habitat <18 ($45)
  • Migratory Bird Fee: $11.50
  • Federal Duck Stamp: Not Required
  • HIP Registration (Free)
  • HUNTER SAFETY REQUIREMENT: Resident and nonresident hunters born after Jan. 1, 1972, must satisfactorily complete a hunter education course to obtain a hunting license.

You can also purchase an annual license if you hunt during the fall. Iowa licenses end expire January 10 each year. Make sure you are purchasing a license for the year you are hunting. We suggest buying it no more than 2 days prior to your hunt. 

Iowa hunting license can be purchased at Walmart in the town we stay in or online on the Iowa DNR website.
