I have spent the last month putting the finishing touches on our gear. Most of our spread will have just over 2000 snow goose decoys. We didn’t bump all of them this year but those remaining spreads will have the same number as previous years.
There have been snows on Squaw Creek all winter. The refuge says the count ranges from 50,000-350,000 snow geese depending on the day. This is not uncommon. The spring of 2006 we hunted opening day of the conservation order with our new Deadly Decoys™ in late January and shot 35 birds. It was the first time anybody had hunted over a Deadly Decoys™ spread.
