The afternoon was better than the morning in my field pictured. By late morning we had only six snows but ended the day with 38. All of the other fields but one was in the 30″s too. Low field shot 13 snow geese. The wind switched to the north. All but the field that shot 13 saw a lot of geese. Very solid snow goose hunting today.
I didn’t hunt my dog today. He hurt his back foot. Tonight it looks swollen, so I will call the vet in the morning to see if I can get him seen.
Nine days into the season, hunting has been great. We have a 30-bird average. The best hunt was 148 snow geese, and the slowest was 1 snow goose on a half-day hunt; it was half a half day as they left by 9 am in a 3 inch rain storm.
We have room from now until we move to Iowa Feb 26. There are dates in Iowa and South Dakota too. This is one of those years where the odds of a good hunt are in your favor as there are a lot of juvy’s. Call Brad 563-380-7122 and get it booked!!!
