Feb 24, 2026 – Snow Goose Hunting Report

Today was better than yesterday, but the birds still weren’t interested in doing much. A steady south wind and they just sat and fed all day. Sooner or later they’re going to have to move, and we’re hoping that’s tomorrow because the last three days have been slow.

Our best field shot 24, and the slowest scratched out 1, giving us a 6.2‑bird average per field. Still pretty cold this morning, and the south wind howled 20–30 mph.

Tomorrow at shooting time it’s supposed to be 20 degrees warmer than today. Hopefully that shift is enough to finally kick these birds into migration mode and get the hunting back to where it was before the cold front this past weekend.
