March 1 – Spring Snow Goose Hunting Report

It was a half‑day hunt for most of the groups today. The wind switched from the south the last couple of days to a north wind this morning. Yesterday guys were heading to the truck to take layers off… today they were heading back to add layers.

Even with the weather flip, it was still a solid day of hunting. Our high field saw a bunch of birds, but my field saw fewer than we’ve had the last couple of days. Still plenty around, but the weather change definitely affected things.

Our best field shot 51, and our lowest shot 9.

We pulled all but one spread this afternoon, and judging by the rain falling right now, that was the right call. Wet gear at the end of the season is never a good thing.
