March 2 – The End!

In the sometimes‑pouring rain, three hunters shot 7. Curt said they actually saw a pretty fair number of geese, especially considering the conditions.

This afternoon we pulled the spread, but we let it sit for a while to dry out. Sometime in the next few days I’ll put together a full recap of the season. It was a good one — and if you’ve ever wanted to hunt spring snows, this is the year to do it. We saw everything from very slow to exceptional, but there was far more average to better hunting than average to worse.

Tomorrow we point north and migrate.

If you’re still hunting, have a safe and successful end to your season.
