Overcast day with a northeast wind. Earlier in the week, those conditions didn’t treat us very well. Today was a bit better. High field shot 26. There was one hunter and two guides, including me. Let’s just say our shooting was off. We should have had 10 more birds with better shooting. Low field shot 2. A lot of birds moved north, but it was hard to pull them from the flocks. The next two days are the youth hunt. We are moving four spreads to higher ground. This mud is a bit much, and more rain is forecasted.
