Very good day in the snow goose spreads today. There was fog in the morning that helped but even after the fog burned off the hunting was solid. The afternoon was about as good as the morning in most of the fields. The high field was 127 and the low field was 8. The field that got 8 had a big feed just to the north of them that sucked all the flocks away from the decoy spread. The second lowest field was 30 and they hunted until 10 am and left.
We also got our second band for the season. It was an 18-year-old blue goose. Bet the fog or Alzheimers helps us on him.
Weather forecast shows a chance of rain every day for the next week. Bring waders if you want to be comfortable.
