Most of the snow melted yesterday. There was a big push of migrating snow geese with almost non-stop flocks all day. There were a couple fields in the single digits but all of the others were in the mid-teens to mid-30. We are starting to see more juvy and Ross geese yesterday.
Some of the fields are a little muddy now. Nothing on the scale of last year but with rain is forecast for Friday. It might be a good idea to bring waders. I hunted one of our muddy fields yesterday and it was starting to dry out in spots. One of my farmers was not able to plant thousands of acres last year so he did a lot of tiling which will hopefully help with the mud in the fields.
