Today was a beautiful migration day. I returned to SW IA from Decorah. The whole way down I saw migrating honkers. For the hunters the morning started out with no wind, once it picked up it was from the south, by the end of the day it was out of the north. Our high field shot 34 geese, 21 with the hunters who left the field at 11ish. Guides Curt and Joe hunted all day shooting another 13. Second place shot 31. The low field for the day shot 5. Tomorrow we are running full fields again. The weather looks promising for the next several days. I have friends still shooting decent numbers of geese in Arkansas. If the forecast holds we should have a good run in Iowa.
