March 13 was pretty slow the high field shot 11 low shot a 0. Today was ideal migrating conditions and it was better high field shot 34 and low field shot 5. The remaining fields were in the teens. Not a bad day but we were expecting more given the conditions. Mound City that is just 40 miles south of us was reporting 700,000 birds two days ago. They must not be moving much or mostly going into Nebraska as we have not seen them flying north over us and the ones we are shooting are largely adults which is odd for this late in the year. Things will change. They always do.
