Thursday March 18 the last two groups chose which fields they wanted to hunt. The remaining guides chose to hunt one of the remaining open fields. The guided groups shot 13 and 24. The guides shot 140 mostly adult and ross geese. The geese came in mostly small flocks of 10 or less and very few birds left alive. If you remember last year on March 18 we had a guide's hunt where we shot 147 birds. I guess we finally caught a break for a day too bad it wasn't in one of the hunters field. It was really the first day we had sun and warm weather in a long time. Friday we got another 7 inches of snow making be glad we postponed the remaining hunts for the year. Success in the snow would have likely been poor.
