Today started out with a drizzling rain with a howling wind. The geese hunkered down in low lying areas out of the wind in huge mega feeds like in this picture. We definitely got birds back from the north with the snow storm up there but they are not flying around like a normal day with all this wind. It looks like starting Wednesday we will see impoved weather for hunting snows. Days like today are why we want groups to hunt 3 or 4 days. When you have less than favorable conditions you have additional days to make up for a bad day.
Today was slower hunting. The high field shot 25 and the low field shot 4. Within a couple miles of all our spreads we have big feeds but this high wind is keeping them from trading around like they normally would. The weather will change and the hunting will improve.
