Rain, Snow, Sun

The days started in the upper 30’s. It rained, heavy at times with some snow mixed in between the raindrops. It was windy and cold this morning. In the afternoon the sun came out. Most of the fields had action early then didn’t see much the rest of the day.

I put on some miles today. It was not hard to find birds, but they were sitting and stuffing themselves. I saw very few in the air; almost everything was sitting in the fields.

The high field shot 26, while our low field shot 3. The field that shot 3 saw maybe 150 geese all day, which is odd, there where several snow goose feeds in that general area. Again, in the field stuffing themselves. The weekend forecast looks promising, it is calling for sunshine with a decent wind. The big questions are, will the forecast weather be accurate? How will the birds react to it?
