It started raining today at about 9:30 am. One group left when it started raining shooting 3. The other group lasted until early afternoon shooting 5. One of the guides drove around looking to see what was in the area. He saw plenty in the area but most are in the Missouri River bottom roosting and eating where the river is flooding. Those bottoms are not huntable this year. Some of the fields in those bottoms have standing corn that I guess wasn’t harvested because of wet fall weather. The snows were having a hay day stuffing themselves with corn. Tomorrow through Friday looks good. Saturday and Sunday have a chance of rain.

One of the snows shot today was rusty. I happen to like the looks of those rusted birds. Some think they are ugly.
