All the reports I have been getting from my southern connections say snow goose migration has begun to head north. My farmers in Mound City say they have been seeing a few birds push up on the warmer days but that are not staying in the area. This is very common and something I expect to see this time of the year. The conservation order starts Feb 1. I have hunted the first day of it in NW Missouri several times over the last nine seasons and there is almost always a small number of birds at this time. The best snow goose hunting happens late February through March.
