Water levels in some of the fields dropped today but the road going to our house increase a lot. Water on the road is higher than last spring. I imagine it will be a couple days more before we get back in there. The Cache River is close to a record high if I’m reading the river stage map right.
Today was a big push of birds from the south. It is the first in a number of days. The morning was non-stop birds heading north. The afternoon slowed which sometimes happens. Some fields had large feeds next to them that sucked the birds away from the decoys. We could use a bunch more days of this kind of migration. Time will tell if we get it. It was hard to get much to look at us from the migrating flocks. High field shot 9, disappointing results for such a big push of birds.
