You know it is cold when a wood duck is at your front door.
It snowed about 4 inches I would guess. It is hard to tell since there was so much drifting. We had a few feathered visitors. Curt’s truck jelled up so while trying to shovel snow so we could get his truck in the garage, we found a frozen meadowlark under my truck. Then the dogs brought to us a frozen starling and morning dove. I assume froze to death from the cold. It was brutal today.
I’m going to sleep on it tonight and then drive around early in the morning to see what if any geese remain. At that point, I will make a decision about the weekend hunters.
The forecast for Wed-Thu is 3-5 inches of snow.
